Modern War Poetry actively seeks submissions for publication.
All authors retain copyright of their works, which must be approved for publication on Modern War Poetry.
Poems should reflect the history, emotions and sensation of living in the new era after September 11th. Of particular interest are poems that relate to the reader a sense of what the world was like before the Global War on Terror, and how it has changed. The goal is to preserve more than the clinical history of the period, and to bear witness to the events to those who will only read about them or see photographs.
Only poetry can preserve the sense, the thoughts and the moment as it is. Poetry after World War One allowed whole generations to understand the horror, the disillusionment and the people of that time.
Now it is our time to bear witness through our words. Speak to the future, or to the past, but record this period in time.
Submissions can be sent via email to submit@modernwarpoetry.com or posted in the New Poems forum.
